Yes, we accept donations!

The CLASSIC THUNDERBIRDS OF SAN DIEGO is a nonprofit 501(c)7. We are a group of volunteers and members dedicated to celebrating, enjoying, and restoring early Ford Thunderbirds, creating community, and donating to local charities that have related goals.

We are currently raising funds for the All-Ford Picnic in May 2023, which is being held in part to help support The Ollie Smith Foundation. The Foundation was created in honor of the founder of the Early Ford V-8 Club. It provides support to students in the Automotive Program at Cuyamaca College. Funds will go toward purchasing items for baskets, available for raffle.

We so appreciate your generous donation!

What People Are Saying About CTSD

I highly recommend this group. Friendly, accepting, and always providing tips for maintaining our Thunderbird.

— Gary N., member since 2005

“My Bird was a basket case when I joined, and I wasn’t sure that the group would be all that supportive. But they certainly were. Makes milestones so much more fun.”

— Shelly B., member since 2018

“My favorite thing about this group is the social interaction - we go on tours, we support charitable groups, we have potlucks. I’ve made many friends.”

— Carol N., member since 2006
