Traditionally Classic, But Welcoming of All Flocks

As the local chapter of CTCI, Classic Thunderbirds of San Diego might focus on classic Baby Bird years 1955-1957, but we welcome all years of Thunderbirds and Thunderbird enthusiasts (even if they don’t own a Bird yet/anymore!). All Thunderbirds are beautiful: Square Birds (58-60), Bullet Birds (61-63), Flair Birds (64-66), Glamour Birds (67-71), Big Birds (72-76), Torino Birds (77-79), Box Birds (80-82), Aero Birds (83-88), Super Birds (89-97), and last but definitely not least, the RETRO BIRDS (02-05).*

Wunderbirds Included!

And now we officially welcome the “Wunderbirds,” which was the local San Diego chapter of the Vintage Thunderbird Club International, with Ken Harkema as President. The Wunderbirds haven’t been active lately, so our club invited their club members to join our activities. We can’t wait to meet them and see their classic cars.

No Thunderbird? No Worries.

Many of our new members are classic Ford fans, might be shopping for a Thunderbird, or have a Ford that might share parts, such as the 1950s Ford Fairlane Crown Victoria, Ford Customline, or Ford Ranchero. Some of our members have a Thunderbird that is not yet running, and become club members for the support and encouragement. Some used to have a Thunderbird, and just want to stay involved in the Tbird community. If you love Thunderbirds, we’re here for you.
