Thunderbirds Cruisin’ Grand with the Woodies

In the late afternoon of Friday, August 22, 2025, almost a dozen Thunderbirds joined Woodies (along with many other classic cars) at Escondido’s famous Cruisin’ Grand car show and community event. It was all blue skies and a really good turnout of great people and cars, including 1973 and earlier, from vintage and class cars to muscle cars and hot rods.

We saw lots of Classic Thunderbird of San Diego car club members as well as new faces in this old town section of Escondido, San Diego. Several people expressed interest in joining the club, and we’re looking forward to seeing them again.

Our club VP Geoff created a sign to help people understand the history and design of these classic T-Birds. CTSD board member Jeff invited children and adults alike to sit inside his red 1955 Thunderbird and have their photo taken. It was so fun checking out all the classic cars cruising along with music pumping, kids and adults ohh-ing and ahh-ing, and so many photos snapping away to remember the good times.
