San Diego Tbirds Cruise to World’s Largest Convertible Museum

More than 30 Tbird Club members and friends drove to northern San Diego to visit the World’s Largest Auto Museum of Convertibles and Americana in Deer Park, and indulge in BBQ, iced lemonade, and chocolate cake.

In early October, 2023, CTSD members and friends drove to Deer Park in northern San Diego (Escondido) to enjoy a catered lunch and visit of the “world’s largest auto museum of convertibles and Americana”** at the Deer Park Winery. The old oak trees gave ample shade to Tbirds and picnickers alike on a very warm Saturday. The rolling vineyard and beautiful grounds made it the perfect backdrop for catching up, meeting new members, and appreciating our Thunderbirds.

Some members joined in on a trivia scavenger hunt and won our newly released CTSD coffee mugs.

Many thanks again to Dave and Alan for organizing this event, and Mitch, Elaine, Kate and the rest of the members who helped set up and tear down! This is one helpful and friendly group of people.

Our heartfelt condolences … we would be remiss not to mention how heartbroken we all are that to two of our members experienced a car accident on a busy road that day. All drivers are fine, but we’re sad to see one of our finest Tbirds go.
